Royal Arch Chapter of Research No. 222

Purpose of Association:

April 7, 2008

The Royal Arch Chapter of Research No. 222 was constituted on the 29th April 1978, for the association of Installed and Past Kings, who are subscribing members of Royal Arch Chapters under the direct jurisdiction of the Supreme Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Ireland, to encourage research into the History, Antiquities, Symbols and Ceremonies of the Order, by means of papers on such subjects and also by discussion.

The Royal Arch Chapter of Research does not engage in the exemplification of Masonic Ritual, and confers only the Masonic Degree of Installed King, High Priest and Chief Scribe annually when Installing the newly elected Council.

Correspendence:

A Correspondence Circle Exists in connection within the Royal Arch Chapter of Research for Companions in Good Masonic Standing, who are members of Royal Arch Chapters in the Irish Constitution or of any Constitution recognised by the Supreme Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Ireland.

Companions of Irish Royal Arch Chapters, and who are registered as members of the Correspondence Circle, attaining the Rank of Installed King in their own Royal Arch Chapter are invited to apply immediately for full membership of Royal Arch Chapter of Research. 

Conventions:

Convocations of the Royal Arch Chapter of Research Three Stated Convocations take place each year. The Convocations are held at various Centres in Districts throughout Ireland on dates to be announced. All Full Members of the Royal Arch Chapter of Research and Vouched Members of the  Correspondence Circle, attending as Associates, may attend the Stated Convocations of the Chapter.
